Toxins are considered poisons. Studies show that people breathe in toxins every day from the air inside and outside their house and job. There are also thousands of toxins in people’s food and drinks. People are slowly destroying their health by breathing, drinking, and eating.
Toxins cause many symptoms
A body overloaded with toxins can result in a number of symptoms. These include joint pain, muscle pain, fatigue, headaches, lowered immunity, poor concentration, poor memory, poor digestion, bad breath, body odor, constipation, depression, gas, poor skin, stomach bloat, dizziness, weight gain, etc.
These symptoms in turn can cause acne, allergies, arthritis, atherosclerosis, cancer, chronic fatigue, colitis, eczema, fibrocystic breasts, fibromyalgia, gallstones, gastritis, hemorrhoids, hypertension, irritable bowel syndrome, kidney stones, obesity, PMS, psoriasis, uterine fibroids, auto-immune diseases…and the list goes on.
Where toxins are found
The Environmental Protection Agency currently recognizes some four million toxins! In a person’s house and office, toxins are found in cleaning agents, solvents, cigarette smoke, and air fresheners. They are also found in lotions, shampoos, conditioners, makeup, etc. Outside, they are found in automobile exhaust fumes, smoggy air, industrial fumes, pesticides, and agricultural chemicals.
The drinks and foods people eat can also have toxins in them. At least 2,800 substances have been recognized as food additives by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. These are used to make foods and drinks taste better, attractive, and to increase the grocery shelf life.
Eating carbohydrates that are too refined, such as bread and white flour, is like eating glue or paste and cause toxins. The “paste” does not slide through the intestines, but instead slogs through, sticking to intestinal walls and gumming up the works. This results in a buildup of waste in the colon. This fecal matter begins to decay, producing bacteria and toxins. The toxins can eventually seep through the bowel wall, where blood capillaries pick them up and distribute the toxins throughout the body.
The toxins slowly build up to harmful quantities, and like a steady drip into a rain barrel, they eventually spill over and BOOM! – A health disaster and symptoms start erupting!
How toxins are removed
The body does have a system in place to detoxify the harmful toxins. This is NORMALLY taken care of by the liver, colon, kidneys, lymphatic system, and skin. Unfortunately, these systems can only handle so many toxins and was built for “natural” toxins, not the man made ones that people have to deal with today. When the body gets bombarded with too many toxins, it has a harder time eliminating the toxins and they build up in the body and cause health problems.
Following are some of the natural and organic herbs and whole foods that I took to eliminate many of the toxins in my body which decreased and eliminated symptoms of fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, allergies, asthma, eczema, and irritable bowel syndrome.
